While this is not exactly keeping with the Finnish culture, we had a very interesting presentation Tuesday.  We had special guests in our room to talk about the history of South Range and the surrounding communities.  Maria Vezzetti Matson and Lou Ellen Helman, authors of the book "Gelsomina's Story of Caesar Lucchesi", talked about the area through the eyes of Italian immigrants in the early 1900's.  Local historian Ralph Raphaelli brought in numerous artifacts and pictures pertaining to the mining industry.  Students are working on a writing project about South Range- past, present and future.
